About me

Artist & Creator

Jocelyn has called Colorado home for most of her life, and even though she's been lucky enough to live and travel all over the world, the incredible nature right here in her backyard never fails to inspire her. The bright colors, the rich textures, the way light hits the mountains at golden hour; it all finds its way into the work.

Jocelyn works primarily in mixed-media collage, and the process is a little unconventional: it starts with hand-pulled gelli prints - layered, colorful, full of happy accidents - then torn apart and used as the building blocks for something entirely new. Fragments become the foundation. From there come paint, oil pastels, and whatever else the piece is asking for, building up texture and depth until it feels right. The result is something that catches the light differently depending on where you stand, with layers you can actually feel.

Making art is deeply meditative and honestly, the best therapy around. More and more time gets carved out for this passion amidst the beautiful chaos of life with a husband, two young sons, and their neverending new business ventures. Painting and paper mache sneak in whenever the mood strikes, because variety is what keeps the joy in it.

Every piece is one of a kind. The hope is that a little of that joy finds its way to your walls.

I'd love to hear from you
